A few days before the said event, Anita emailed to ask me to do up some games for the event. I was thinking "what the...games? where got games one?". So I googled for help, and lo and behold, the Americans had a variety of games lined up for their fancy baby shower parties. Being the lazy fart I am, I procrastinated. So I totally ignored everything and on the morning of the event, I turned on the computer and surfed my eyeballs out. In the end, it was charades, pin the diaper on the baby, place bets on Katie's arrival date, and the maternity version of The Price Is Right.
For the sake of the mothers-to-be, it is financially not funny to have a baby. Check out my TPIR items and be amazed at the prices (courtesy of Kiddy Palace Northpoint 6 Jan):

- Avent nipple protectors (they help to prevent ahem nipple burn) - $15.00
- Farlin baby safety scissors (cute and round) - $6.40 (wahzan!)
- Manual breast pump (just one side ok) - $89.00 (ay caramba!)
- Kodomo hair and body wash - $3.80
- Sebamed diaper rash cream - $18.90 (best to have no diapers on?)

i got my electric double pump for $799. after weaning him off BM at 7 months, i sold it for $499. muahahaha...
coincidentally, the 10 month old is addicted to a kermit the frog vcd dat his granny got him...
Electric double pump sounds industrial. A ten-month bundle of joy sounds delightful. Kermit the frog eh?
I'm guessing you did the shopping alone... without any advice from any mommies... Listen to what dis mommy's gotta say about the shopping you've done...
Spiffies toothwipes (harh? you utter) - $11.90
*Better to baby toothpaste and soft brush set. Cheaper and some more can let bb get used to a 'toothbrush'...
Avent nipple protectors (they help to prevent ahem nipple burn) - $15.00
*Nipple protectors are the 'last resort' for seriously cracked nipples (r u cringing yet?). For immediate relief, nipple cream or even breast milk will suffice.
Farlin baby safety scissors (cute and round) - $6.40 (wahzan!)
*No mommy dares to use scissors on her precious baby. Should've gotten nail clippers for bbs.
Manual breast pump (just one side ok) - $89.00 (ay caramba!)
*Pigeon brand sucks. The motherhood forum is chockful of threads blasting it. Best brand for manual pump is Avent. And it's cheaper at $79, AND comes with freebies...
Kodomo hair and body wash - $3.80
*Your best buy so far...
Sebamed diaper rash cream - $18.90 (best to have no diapers on?)
*wah liao, why buy so ex? with dat kind of $, i can buy 4 tubes of Drapolene diaper rash cream from Guardian.
Pureen baby wipes - $4.10
*ok lah... baby wipes any brand oso can. But good to get the Pigeon one that comes in the box with the opening that clicks open with one touch of the finger... good when you need the other hand to hold on to screaming/struggling baby.
Tumble mates 2-handle sippy cup - $8.90
*baby won't need this till maybe 9 months old? by then, mommy may have re-gifted it to another friend...
Disney socks - $3.90 (for the brand conscious baby)
*nowadays brand conscious bbs go for osh kosh b'gosh, Baby Gap, Baby Dior, Levi's Kids, etc...
7-in-1 baby food maker - $19.90 (err...you mean a fork and spoon isn't enough?)
*i BET you she will re-gift this.
