A Girl, A Bear and CNY

It is Chinese New Year's Eve today. Yesterday, like gazillions of Chinese folk making a mad dash, Cheryl Lim Lah Moh packed her her large suitcase in the early hours and dragged it off to work. At her desk, huffing and puffing, she unzipped and exposed the contents of her luggage. Mostly laundry and a smothered teddy.

I christened the nameless, smelly bundle of polyester put-together of childhood comfort Dickie. I had to.

It turns out Dickie accompanies Lah Moh while she watches TV. He was asked this morning if we would want to return home too. Apparently, bear-bear gave an affirmative response and was stuffed in. Bon voyage Dickie.
